The micro-simulation in obesity was originally carried out for the Foresight Obesity Report. The micro-simulation is also being developed to include tobacco-related disease.
The technical team has presented its research at many international meetings and won a prize from the Academy of Health Sciences in the US for novel methodologies in health research.
The team participates in the ComNet expert group, with the National Institutes of Health in the United States, Statistics Canada, Harvard University and Deakin University in Australia.
